Charles John Martin 88, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Ledgecrest Convalescent Home, Kensington.

Mr. Martin was the son of the late Charles W. and Edith (Brotherton) Martin and was the loving husband of Mary (Havens) Martin of 62 years.

Charles was retired from Pratt & Whitney after being employed as a Tool Inspector for 40 years. He was a member of Saint Paul Church, President of Pratt & Whitney Men’s Club, small Tool Division, A member of the Timberland Senior Golf League, an avid Red Socks Fan, and a fan of Berlin High Football.

In addition to his wife Mary, Charles is survived by two daughters Carol Pac and her husband Thomas of Kensington, Janet Harrison of Plainville; four grandchildren Amber Lynn Harrison, Nicole, Jeffery and Erin Pac.

Charles was pre-deceased by a son-in-law Kenneth Harrison.

Friends and family are invited to call Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington.

Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 9:15 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint Paul Church, Alling Street, Kensington.

Burial at Maple Cemetery will follow.
