Frank I. Pfister

Frank I. Pfister 88 of Newington, CT. passed away May 7, 2009 at Ridge View Health Care. He was the son of the late Ignatz and Mary (Windisch) Pfister, and loving husband to his late wife Eleanor (Marino) Pfister.

 

Frank was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, he operated Pfister Farms, family owned from 1919 to 2005 and was retired  from Stanley Works where he worked as a tool and die maker for 40 years. He was a member of the Berlin V.F.W. and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

 

Mr. Pfister is survived by two daughters, Linda Kleinschmidt and her husband Richard of Newington, Joyce Pfister of Newington; a brother John Pfister of Wethersfield; several nieces and nephews, two best friends Carlos Perez, Jack Cullum and his faithful dog Annie.

 

In addition to his wife Eleanor, Frank was pre-deceased by four sisters Mary Jennings, Margaret Wright, Elsie Rosenberger and Frances Degnan.

 

Friends and family may call Sunday, May10, 2009 at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Holy Spirit Church, Newington at 10:00 am, burial with Military Honors will follow

 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill
