Hubbard's Maule is Teacher of the Year

Timothy Maule, a grade 4 teacher at Hubbard Elementary School, has been selected as the 2011 Teacher of the Year for the Berlin Public Schools.

The announcement was made at Monday's Board of Education meeting.

Maule, a lifelong resident of Berlin, attended the Berlin Public Schools and began his career in Berlin seventeen years ago. Originally, he was a grade three teacher and served with distinction in that position for thirteen years. For the last four years, he has been a grade four teacher. He serves as the recess fitness activities coordinator, AV coordinator and after-school enrichment coordinator at Hubbard School. Parents of his students have praised his work, with statements such as: “Mr. Maule inspires and encourages his students to work toward their greatest potential.” And:“He is not only a teacher who must truly love what he does but is also an outstanding role model.”
