James F. DiPietro 87, of Harvest Hill Road, Kensington passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Maple View Health Care with his loving family by his side.

James was the son of the late Raymond and Lucy (Aienello) DiPietro and the husband of Clara (Starzec) DiPietro.

A life long resident of Kensington, he was retired from Allied Metal Co. where he was employed as a foreman, he was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran, a member of Saint Paul Church and loved being with his family.

In addition to his wife Clara, James is survived by a son James E. DiPietro and his wife Kika of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter Linda Silvestro and her husband Joel of Kensington; a sister Zina Burdick of New Britain; three grandchildren James and Cerina Silvestro, Samantha DiPietro; four step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am at Saint Paul Church, Alling Street, Kensington.

Burial with Military Honors at Maple Cemetery will follow, the flag will be presented to his wife.
