Joseph E. Laviana

Joseph E. Laviana, 87 of Kensington, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2009 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Laviana was the son of the late Joseph C. and Henrietta (Baer) Laviana.
Joseph was retired from Goss and DeLeuw where he was employed as a welder. He served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, he was a 3rd Degree Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Saint Paul Church in Kensington.
In addition to his loving wife Madelyn (DeLowery) Laviana, Joseph is survived by three sons, John J. Laviana of Kensington, Jeffrey M. Laviana and his wife Susan of Berlin, Joseph E. Laviana and his wife Leslie of Carmel, Indiana; one daughter Carole A. Laviana of Dunedin, Florida; a sister Sally Zwick of Warren, Maine; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to call Thursday, October 29,2009 form 8:30 to 9:30 at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Saint Paul Church, Alling Street, Kensington .
Burial at the Veterans Cemetery, Middletown will follow.
