The ninth annual Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior golf tournament wrapped up its second and final round Tuesday at Timberlin.
In the boys tournament, Suffield’s Andy Mai (5-under) edged Burlington’s Alex DiClemente in a one-hole playoff.
Berlin’s top finisher was Kevin Jud (8-over, tied for 27th).
Greenwich’s Eliza Breed bested the field on the girls side (6-over). Kelly Whaley, of Farmington, was second (10-over).
Berlin’s top finisher was Alyssa Scheyd (25-over, 14th place).
Local brothers Brent and Cody Paladino are the driving force behind the tournament, held in honor of their grandfather, Stan Trojanowski, who passed away in 2001.
“I would like to believe my grandfather would be extremely proud of the growth of the event. Any time I’m in a crunch to get things done for the event, or stressed out about it, I think of him looking down on us and that is what gets me through,” said Brent.
