Muriel Sandquist, 85, of Jerome Home, New Britain, passed away Tuesday (November 3, 2009) at Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.  A native and lifelong New Britain resident, she was daughter of the late Lambert and Lillie (Staberg) Sandquist.  Muriel was a graduate of Teacher College of CT (now CCSU), taught in the Berlin School System and was a former Principal of Hubbard Elementary School in East Berlin.  She was a lifelong member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in New Britain.

            Surviving are several cousins including Robert Sandquist of Berlin and Eileen Saladino of Huntington, NY.

            Graveside funeral services will be held Friday 2 PM in Section 36 of Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.  There are no calling hours.  Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
