Nicholas J. DiGiore

Nicholas J. DiGiore, 90, of Kensington, died March 6, 2008 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain.
He was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Louise) DiGiore the husband of Barbara DiGiore.
He was retired from Pratt-Whitney where he had been employed for 29 years. He was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran, and was awarded the American Defense Service Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, he was a member of V.F.W. Post 1073, the Timberlin Golf Club, the Berlin and New Britain Seniors, a Berlin Fair Volunteer, he was an avid bowler, a charter member of the Sacred Heart Forever Young Club, the Men's Club and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin.
In addition to his loving wife Barbara, he is survived by a daughter Sharon Arbit and her husband Jordan of Mass.; two sons Nicholas DiGiore and his wife Pam of Windsor and Edward DiGiore and his wife Nancy of Calif.; two brothers Daniel and Anthony DiGiore both of N.Y. and Fla.; five grandchildren, Christina MacLeod, Elizabeth DiGiore, Katherine Dallaire, Rebecca and Zachary Arbit; two great-grandchildren Jenna and Aubrey Dallaire and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters Rose Colucci and Josephine DiGiore and a brother Andrew DiGiore.
Services were held March 10, 2008 at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery.
