The Berlin Farmers’ Market features a “Wild Card Tent” and a “Kid’s Play Area” each Saturday. The Wild Card is designed for local non-profit groups that wish to set up their materials and spend the morning educating the public as to their mission or to recruit new members.

Gallo claims fourth Open title

Berlin's Kyle Gallo won the Connecticut Open Championship golf tournament with a 54-hole total of 200 (10-under-par). The three-day tournament, held at the Country Club of Fairfield, wrapped up on Wednesday. This is Gallo's fourth Open title.

Berlin's Cody Paladino finished fourth at the Open with 206.

Rabid bat bites dog

According to town officials, during the month of July, two bats collected within the boundaries of the Central Connecticut Health District tested positive for rabies. One rabid bat was found in Berlin, and the other in Newington. No human cases have occurred.
